Usage analytics and privacy
We use PostHog to understand which pages and features are useful. Analytics records page visits and selected actions, such as starting a check or downloading a report.
Your tool results stay out of analytics
We do not send pasted emails, headers, uploaded files, lookup values, clipboard contents, permission results, camera or microphone media, garden names, or private share links to PostHog. Session recordings and automatic collection of page text are disabled. Analytics URLs exclude query strings, fragments and private path values.
Errors without your inputs
We also use PostHog to find browser errors and failed promises. Reports include the error type, public script location, line number, browser information and site. Raw error messages, function names, console output, source-code context and application variables are removed before sending. Repeated errors are limited. Session recordings remain disabled.
No analytics cookies
PostHog runs in cookieless mode, without saving analytics data in cookies or browser storage. PostHog receives ordinary network request information, including your IP address and browser information, to process requests and estimate visitors using a daily server-side hash. We do not identify you by name or email, or connect your identity across our separate domains. Visitor counts are estimates, not a count of identifiable people.
Your choice
Analytics does not load when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Tracking blockers are respected. Each site's own hosting, optional lookups, saved preferences and explicitly requested tests are separate from analytics.
Analytics is sent to PostHog's US service. Read PostHog's privacy policy.
